Bloom Festival is Ireland’s premier gardening and outdoor living event, drawing thousands of visitors each year who share a passion for nature, sustainability, and innovation. This year, sustainability was more than a theme — it was a commitment shared by all partners, including Certa, who proudly took on the role of Official Sustainability Partners at Bloom 2025.
Certa wanted to create a dedicated space at Bloom that would embody their commitment to sustainability and provide a warm, welcoming environment for their sales team to engage visitors. But they faced a significant challenge: How could they build a showcase area that was genuinely eco-friendly — avoiding the waste and carbon footprint typically associated with temporary event structures?
They needed a solution that was authentic, inspiring, and practical.
That’s where Fusion Events came onboard. From the start, our team understood that sustainability isn’t just about messaging — it’s about action and experience. We committed to delivering a showcase that would not only meet Certa’s sustainability goals but exceed them with creativity and care.
Our first step was sourcing an old, abandoned exhibition trailer — a blank canvas with untapped potential. Instead of opting for new construction, we chose upcycling, restoring the trailer using eco-friendly paints and materials to create the Sustainable Living Stage’s home. This approach significantly reduced waste and embodied the circular economy in action.
But the transformation didn’t stop there. To make the space inviting and functional, we furnished the area beside the stage with upcycled furniture — thoughtfully selected and restored to retain character while championing reuse. To bring life and colour to the setting, we planted vibrant flowers and greenery, turning the area into a natural oasis where visitors could comfortably meet the Certa sales team.
The result was a stunning sustainable showcase that delighted Certa and captivated Bloom visitors. The upcycled trailer and green surroundings created a beautiful, authentic space that perfectly communicated Certa’s green values.
Certa’s team was thrilled not only with the visual impact but also with the genuine atmosphere we crafted — a place where meaningful conversations about sustainable energy solutions could flourish naturally.
Alongside this showcase, Certa powered the Bloom event site using Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), a low-carbon biofuel that reduces emissions and aligns with their sustainability vision. Visitors could learn more about HVO, solar power through Certa’s Alternative Energy Ireland division, and the new EcoMax hybrid heating fuel — all highlighted at the showcase and Certa’s dedicated stand.
